PRESS RELEASE
Antibody Films Partners With PublicMediaWorks on "Video Noir" Feature
Actor Corbin Bernsen writes, directs, stars in Donna on Demand
Los Angeles, CA - January 31, 2007 - Antibody Films announced today its partnership
with PublicMediaWorks on the new independent feature film Donna on Demand. This is
the company's second green-lighted project since its entry into the film development and
production industry in May 2006.
The joint co-production brings together Antibody's unique business model and PublicMediaWorks' extensive resources and industry experience to deliver Donna on Demand.
Actor Corbin Bernsen brings his original script, and will be directing and starring in the
film.
Donna is the raunchy and quick-witted story of the last days of burned-out television actor
Ben Corbin (Corbin Bernsen, L.A. Law, Major League), on the skids on the fringes of
Hollywood when he gets a last chance at glory from an unlikely source: Ned, his "biggest
fan" from a hayseed town in the middle of nowhere; and a foul-mouthed ingenue named
Donna. Together, the three create an unlikely online sensation... But who is conning who?
Donna brings together a complimentary partnership between PublicMediaWorks and
Antibody Films. Antibody will be re-teaming with Bernsen after their previous work
together on Pirate Camp, with Bernsen this time taking a turn in front of and behind the
camera.
Antibody's strong producing team helps free Bernsen from the complex management and
logistical issues associated with production, while benefiting from the infrastructure and
experience of Bernsen's production company, PublicMediaWorks.
Chris Aronoff, Antibody Films' co-founder and one of the film's producers, notes
"PublicMediaWorks has a wealth of production equipment and on-standby services and at
their disposal, not to mention the connections and name-power that Corbin brings to the
table."
Adds fellow Antibody producer Jesse Lawler: "In addition, PublicMediaWorks is a publicly
traded company (PMWI), which offers some unique angles for production fundraising. We
look forward to continuing to develop our relationship and finding fruitful projects for
collaboration."
Although filming will take place on a small budget by Hollywood standards, Bernsen's
standing within the industry and his ability to call in longtime friends and professional
collaborators will give Donna an added boost that would be difficult to achieve for most
indie directors. The film also stars Adrienne Frantz (The Bold and the Beautiful, The
Young and the Restless), Jeanne Cooper (The Young and the Restless), and Susan
Ruttan (L.A. Law). Production is scheduled to begin in Los Angeles during the first week
of February.
